Product Description
Detailed Specifications & Features
Closed-Loop Robotic Polishing Machine For Pump

Pump bodies are the heaviest, messiest parts in any foundry to finish by hand: multi-port castings with internal passages, flange faces that must seal, and casting flash that hides inside volute curves. Our closed-loop robotic polishing cell is engineered for exactly this reality. A force-sensing head reads contact pressure in real time and corrects the arm path within milliseconds — so a heavy cast-iron volute gets the same clean deburr and flat seal face as the next casting in the batch. No missed burrs inside ports, no gasket-seat high spots, no hand-grinding crew.

Closed-loop robotic polishing machine processing pump casing

A pump casing has inlet, outlet, drain and gauge ports — each one a burr trap. The cell finishes all of them plus flanges, lugs and the body surface in a single program, on one fixture. No re-clamping, no missed corners.

  • All ports, flanges & faces finished in one cycle
  • Burr-free internal passages, threads & mounting holes
  • One fixture per pump model, teach once run forever
Precision Seal Face Finishing

The part that determines pump quality is the seal face. Closed-loop force control holds the head at constant pressure across the whole flange, so the gasket seat comes out flat and consistent — measurable, repeatable, documented.

  • Constant-pressure seal-face finishing, ±0.5 N
  • Flatness held within 0.05 mm across the flange
  • Leak-tight joints → fewer warranty claims
Heavy-Duty Construction

Pump housings are heavy and rigid — they need a machine that doesn't flex. High-rigidity arm, heavy-duty fixture and vibration-damped base handle cast-iron bodies up to 200 kg without losing finish quality on long strokes.

  • Cast iron, ductile iron, stainless & aluminum
  • Heavy-load fixture up to 200 kg
  • Vibration-damped base: stable finish at full reach
24/7 Production Capability

Foundry work is dirty, dusty, three-shift. The cell is sealed, dust-tolerant and built for continuous running: load a casting, start the cycle, unload a finished one. Automation absorbs order peaks without hiring or overtime.

  • 24/7 unattended capability, lights-out option
  • 1 operator supervises 2 cells
  • Absorb peak orders without extra crew
  • Process data logged per pump serial number

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it handle our biggest pump bodies?
Yes. The cell handles workpieces up to 200 kg and 1,200 mm. The heavy-load twin-station table and high-rigidity arm are sized for foundry castings, not small hardware.
How do you guarantee the seal face is flat?
Closed-loop force control keeps the head at constant pressure across the whole flange while the arm follows the surface. Flatness is held within 0.05 mm and verified on sample parts before we ship — plus process data is logged per casting for your audits.
Do internal passages and ports need a separate deburring step?
No. Every port, thread and internal passage is covered in the programmed path. The cycle ends with the body deburred, prepped and ready for painting or passivation.
Can the same machine switch between cast iron and stainless pumps?
Yes. Material change takes under 20 minutes: swap the abrasive set and load the corresponding program. Consumable grades are pre-selected per material.
What finish should a cast iron pump body have before painting?
For most foundries, a uniform prep at Ra 1.6-3.2 µm gives good paint adhesion and hides casting texture. For stainless pumps we tune to a brushed Ra 0.4-0.8 µm. We validate on your actual castings.
Can we test with our own castings before ordering?
Yes. Send 2-3 representative pump bodies and we run a free trial in our application lab — you receive finished samples plus flatness, cycle-time and yield data for evaluation.
